Check 1 shows the number and percentage of transmission logs (PRG files for transmission dates in reported week) submitted by Station - within three days of transmission, within 7 days and after 7 days:
- The results will show the submission date for the first successful submission
- Total count by Station in summary report can be maximum 7.
- Note that the total can be less if some logs were not submitted at all before reports are produced.
Recommendations and consequences of non-compliance
Tip |
---|
|
Submitting TX logs with populated Content IDs both by TX+3 and at least two working days before publication of consolidated linear data (TX+8) ensures that content metadata will be processed in time for accurate Dovetail reporting. |

Please note that Dovetail calibration and genre coding cannot be guaranteed for Content IDs that are submitted in TX logs after TX+3 or less than two working days before publication. If the TX logs are not submitted by TX+7 then Live viewing for those programmes will not be reported in Dovetail. Currently late logs will be published via amendment process however that will not impact Dovetail and the viewing cannot be retrieved for those programmes. This will be possible once the amendment process for Dovetail is implemented. |
Tip |

|
It is also the best practice to ensure that all of metadata is submitted before or on the day that the TX logs are submitted. |
Playtime in summary and detail version is based on Content IDs available in first successfully submitted TX log:
- If same Content is broadcast on multiple stations, the playtime will be duplicated among them
- Note that in 4 screen dashboard all the viewing will be attributed to the version of the content that has duration greater than any other by more than 5 minutes and if within the 5 minute difference then the station with the earliest transmission.
- Playtime will reflect measured viewing against that particular Content ID and will not include other versions (that can be linked via Parent BCID)
- If a station has TX logs submissions i.e. appears in the ‘Summary by unique records count’ table but does not appear in the ‘Summary by playtime’ table then there were no viewings (in Census) for the Content IDs that were in those TX logs.

Red columns require attention and the goal is to minimize percentage or records and playtime in this group.
Detail report shows actual date of first successful log submission by Station name and transmission date, including the flag highlighting if submission falls within TX+3.
